Rolling stocktakes

What is a rolling stocktake?

This means counting a small portion of your stock regularly (daily, weekly, or monthly), usually covering important stock multiple times within a year.

Why count a little at a time instead of once a year?

More frequent counting helps you find discrepancies while they're small and recent, so that you can investigate and resolve issues sooner.

Smaller focused counts are also easier to manage, less fatiguing, and therefore tend to be more accurate.

Does this replace my annual or EOFY stocktake?

Many businesses keep doing a full count at end of financial year for their books, and use rolling counts through the year to stay accurate in between.

Can I do my stocktakes in-house?

Yes, your can easily add your staff to access the app anytime for self-service and start a count of whats due.

Setting it up

How do I get my products in?

Easily import your product list from an Excel spreadsheet, or add items by hand.

How do counting frequencies work?

You set how often each item should be counted, either daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

The app then works out what's due based on when each item was last counted, and shows you that list whenever you open it.

Do I need a barcode scanner?

No, but it can help.

You can count by simply tapping items and entering quantities on any phone or tablet.

If you want to scan, the app works with standard Bluetooth wireless or corded scanners that are compatible with your device.

Running it

Can several people count at the same time?

Yes. Multiple staff can count the same site at once, each on their own device.

Every count is recorded against the person who made it.

What if the internet drops while we're counting?

Counting keeps working offline.

Counts are saved on the device and sync automatically when the connection comes back.

Can I run more than one site?

Yes. Each site is a separate workspace with its own product list and its own history.

What do I get out at the end?

A clean record of every count that can be easily exported via Excel to reconcile against your own system.

Account & billing

What happens if I cancel or let it lapse?

The workspace becomes read-only, but you keep full access to your history and can still export everything and finish any count already in progress. You just can't start new counting until you subscribe again.

Is it an app I download from the store?

No, you open it in your browser and can add it to your home screen on your phone or tablet.
